The advanced trial of judicial review of Act 42/2008 on General Election of President and Vice-President and Act 8 of 2012 on the Election of Members of the House of People Representatives, House of Regional Representatives and Regional Representatives Council, held again at the Constitutional Court (MK). The advanced trial case number 61/PUU-XI/2013 was filed by Taufiq Hasan, a resident of Ponorogo, East Java.
Taufiq presents the improvement hearing without legal counsel suggested several improvements that have been made application. On the revised petition, Taufiq added two chapters to be reviewed.
"If previously only Article 27 paragraph (1) of Presidential Election Act and Article 19 paragraph (1) of the Legislative Election Act became President Election Act Article 28 and Article 20," he explained before the Constitutional Assembly, chaired by the Deputy Chief Justice Achmad Sodiki.
However, even though he followed Justice’s suggestion, Taufiq admits not change the argument. According to the provisions of the articles of the two laws conflict with the 1945 Constitution because it does not conform to human rights, and does not provide security, protection for the Indonesian people. Article 27 paragraph (1) Presidential Election Act and Article 19 paragraph (1) of the Legislature Election Act has the same editorial that said, "Indonesian citizens on polling day has come the age of 17 (seventeen) years or more or are / have been choosing the right mate".
