Court Order Empat Lawang Commission Bring Ballot Boxes

The Constitutional Court (MK) commanded Empat Lawang Regency to bring the ballot box voting results in 38 polling stations no later than four days after the Court ruled. Injunction number 71/PHPU.D-XI/2013 was read by Chief Justice M. Akil Mochtar accompanied by other constitutional judges on Monday (8/7) at the Plenary Court.

"The Constitutional Court (MK) has called Empat Lawang Regency to bring the ballot box voting results in 38 polling stations in 10 villages in sub district of Muara Pinang; Tanjung Tawang village, Pajar Menang Village, Niur Village, Gedung Agung Village, Seleman Ulu village, Muara Pinang Lama village, Sukadana village, Batu Jungul Village, Sapa Panjang Village and Sawah Village along with other documents to the Court no later than four days after the verdict is pronounced," explained Akil read the verdict.

In addition, the Court ordered the Election Commission of South Sumatra Province, District Election Supervisory Committee Empat Lawang, and Police Resort District Empat Lawang to oversee the implementation of the Court’s decision. In the main petition, Petitioner argues that there has been a counting error by the Respondent that Petitioner noise reduction and sound additions Related Parties in 10 villages in Muara Pinang. On the legal issues, the Court has done to draw together evidence appraisal letter / article submitted by the parties in the form of Model Form C-KWK.KPU in 10 villages in Muara village of Tanjung Pinang.

"The Court does not find a match between the evidence presented by both the Petitioner, Respondent, and Related Party, so that the Court cannot determine the validity of each document evidence submitted by the parties," explained Judge Maria Farida Indrati.

"In connection with the counting of ballots in intent, the Court ordered the Election Commission District Four Lawang to bring the ballot box voting results in 38 polling stations in 10 villages along with other documents which voters list (DPT), Model C-KWK.KPU Form and attachments, Form Model C2-KWK.KPU Plano, Model D-KWK.KPU Form and attachments, and DAKWK.KPU Model Form and attachments, and submit to the Court no later than four days after the verdict is pronounced," he said.
