Witness in Palangkaraya Election Dispute: No ID and Family Cards Abuse

General Election Commission (KPU) of Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan, filed a number of witnesses in the trial Election Dispute on Tuesday (2/07/2013). Witness presented by the Commission to deny the statements of the witnesses proposed by Faridawaty Darland Atjeh-Sodikul Mubin (Applicant 76/PHPU.D-XI/2013) and Tuty Dau-Maryono (Applicant no. 77/PHPU.D-XI / 2013) related to misuse of National Identity Card (KTP) and Family Card (KK) by incumbent Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Palangkaraya Riban Satia-Mofit Saptono (Rimo).

The constitutional judges of the Constitutional Court led by Chief M. Akil Mochtar, a witness named Milo, who served as Chairman of the Election Committee (PPK) Jekan Raya, stating there was no abuse issues ID cards and KK are used by people from outside the city of Palangkaraya to be able to choose when voting. According to Milo, the polling stations (TPS) 7 Palangkaraya in question actually Farida-Sodikul won the most votes, followed by Tuty-Maryono who finished seconds the most votes and incumbent TPS 7 Palangkaraya in third.

The implementation of voting is also presented by Dino Pranoto, PPK Pahandut members. According to him, Ahmad Diran was absent in the DPT because he did not submit personal data to the official data updating voters (PPDP) despite being warned repeatedly by PPDP officers. Lodewiek confirmed, although not listed in the DPT, Ahmad Diran still be able to use their right to vote based on the ruling of the Constitutional Court and the Central Election Commission circulars about the use of ID cards by the voters in the General Election.

Statements of the witnesses proposed by Palangkaraya Commission is also reinforced by the statements of the witnesses proposed by couple Rimo, ie Hamidan, Upen Syahir, Rusdiansyah, Harigato and Ayue S. Emun. In essence, the witness denied the citizens of the city of Palangkaraya mobilization for voting in Palangkaraya General Election.

In the previous session (Monday, 07/01/2013), the witnesses presented by the Petitioner revealed abuses carried out incumbent Mayor-Deputy Mayor of Palangkaraya in issuing new ID cards for residents and families outside the city of Palangkaraya in order to participate in the voting and giving voice on the incumbent.
