OKI Commission Witness Denies Balloting Allegations before the Election Day

The Constitutional Court held a hearing dispute election of Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), South Sumatra, on Tuesday (2/7) afternoon, at the Plenary Court Room. The trial led by the Chief Justice M. Akil Mochtar present witnesses of the Respondent.

In principle, the witness denied Respondent Candidate Regent and Vice Regent Number 3 Zaitun Mawardi Yahya-Herman Talib (applicant) stating that there are voting that occurred before Election Day. According to witnesses the Respondent, during the vote until the recapitulation, there is absolutely no problems occurred. The proof, there is no objection from witnesses candidate currently in the field.

One witness, Junaidi, confirmed that the implementation of the General Election in the OIC has been carried out both by the Respondent. "Current (and) secure, your Majesty," said the Election Committee Member (PPK) Sirah Pulau Padang to the Constitutional Assembly.

The same information is also expressed by witness Hasan Musa. According to Hasan, as Chairman of the Organizing Group Ballot (KPPS) in TPS 1, he did not see the incident as argued by the applicant. He asserted, he never told or directing voters to choose one candidate.

Neither the Applicant allegations related to the ballots had been marked before the vote. This has been denied by the Chairman KPPS TPS 4, Sudarman. According to him, these allegations are not true. "Nothing has been vote ballots," he said.
