Sukamara Regency’s Election Being Accused of Many Violations

Candidate Muhammad Yamin - Muhammad Nur Madani sued Sukamara Election Commission, Central Kalimantan to the Constitutional Court. The trial of cases registered with the No. 40/PHPU.D-XI/2013 was held on Monday morning (29/04) presided over by Judge Hamdan Zoelva accompanied by Muhammad Alim and Arief Hidayat.

Applicant through attorney Erny Sutrisni explained, a violation that still characterize the implementation of the election in Sukamara, Central Kalimantan, where such violations include the practice of money politics and intimidation by the candidate number 3 Ahmad Dirman-Windu Subagio.

Erny confirmed, the practice of money politics that happen to occur in the three days before the election, even on polling day with the division of the money still amounted to Rp. 200 thousand to Rp. 500 thousand per family. This was done by Success Team of Ahmad Dirman-Windu Subagio.

Erny further stated, violations were also committed by officers KPPS, by directing voters in the voting booth to elect Couple Number 3 Ahmad Dirman-Windu Subagio.

Meanwhile, Sukamara Election Commission attorney Bardie stated, the petition has passed the deadline specified by law to submit the dispute to the Court. In addition, the applicant also cannot prove the existence of violations that occur in a structured, systematic and massive, which can be influential in the vote, as it is blamed.

Similarly to Related Party that denied Petitioner’s argument about the politics of money made by the Volunteer or Team Success of Ahmad Dirman-Windu Subagio.
