Ahmad Fadlil Sumadi received a visit of Teacher Lesson (MGMP) of Civic education of Junior High School (SMP) as Kulonprogo District on Monday (4/3), at the Press Conference Room, 4th floor. In the meeting, the teacher asked a variety of matters relating to the functions and authority of the Court. Fadlil who is also a former teacher with a friendly answer questions put to him.
Opening the meeting, Fadlil gratitude and a sense of gratitude as is reunited with his father and mother were teachers from a junior high school Civics MGMP of Kulonprogo District today. Fadlil admitted to thank the fathers and mothers of teachers willing to come to the Court and then the Court to introduce students’ teacher father and mother respectively.
"I am thankful and grateful for reunited with introducing teachers taught 32 students in one class, and then in the school, how many students? You are from several different schools as Kulonprogo District. So I am grateful to you for the Court recognized the Indonesian people," said Fadlil opened the meeting.
Fadlil then invited the fathers and mothers of teachers to ask any questions about the Court to him. Because, Fadlil feel inadequate when he explained to his father that the teacher knows who incidentally are also things about MK. "Ask what you want to ask. If I were to explain, just like sea salt," said Fadlil modestly.
After hearing questions from the participants in this meeting, Fadlil then explain various matters relating to the Constitutional Court which asked the participants. First, Fadlil was describing the changes of the 1945 Constitution and the judiciary. Previously, the 1945 Constitution was considered too simple, can be controlled by politics, too little regulation of the norm, too broad in scope, and mechanisms handed over to the state. After the change of the 1945 constitution, this constitution came to be the supreme law, the position of state institutions (higher) or equivalent, and enforcement of the rule of law.
In a paper given to the participants, explained that one of the chapters that follow change, namely Article 1, paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution which previously read, "Sovereignty is in the hands of the people and performed entirely by People Consultative Assembly". The sound of the article was changed to the following.
Sovereignty belongs to the people and implemented in accordance with the Law of Association.
Changes in the content of Article 1, paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution to automatically change the original position of the Assembly is the highest state institution which implement fully the sovereignty of the people into high state institution or commonly known as a state institution only.
Fadlil also describes the authority of the Constitutional Court, the judge at the first and last which shall be final against the Constitution Act, 1945, decide the dispute authority of state institutions whose authority granted by the 1945 Constitution, decide on the dissolution of political parties, decide the dispute election results, and an obligation to Parliament gave the verdict against the opinion of the alleged offense committed by the president and vice president 1945 (Yusti Nurul Agustin / mh)
