Constitutional Court commemorates the 84th Mother’s Day in 2012, doing the flag ceremony on Monday (19/12), on the front lawn of the Court, Jakarta. The ceremony is led by the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court Janedjri M. Gaffar.
In an address to the ceremony adviser, Janedjri said the ceremony of the 84th Mother Day as momentum to recall the meaning of Mother’s Day as the rise of women. "This warning will always remember the meaning of Mother’s Day as a revival, unity, and unity, and the development of women and parcel of the rise and struggle of the Indonesian people," he explained.
According to Janedjri, people can see the progress of Indonesian women in a variety of roles and strategic positions in many diverse activities carried out so far. "It shows that women in Indonesia is a resource that potential if given the opportunity will advance and improve their quality of life independently in dimension," said the Secretary General of the Court.
In essence, says Janedjri again, women of the past as well as present-day Indonesia women. "They’re still human beings with rights and obligations, as well as having intelligence, establishment of thinking and behaving," he explained. Furthermore, Jenedjri said, history has proven most Indonesian women dared to participate in the struggle for Indonesian independence. It thus evidenced by the Congress of the United Indonesia’s first Woman on December 22, 1982 as a form of response from the Indonesian women’s movement at that time has grown in concrete terms in the spirit of youth oath.
"Indonesian women now have the same rights and obligations as men," said Janedjri. Based on these considerations, the anniversary of my mother in 2012 was focused on the theme "The Role of Women and Men in Delivering Sustainable Development towards Prosperity of the Nation".
