Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Moh. Mahfud MD gave a talk (tausiyah) in front of hundreds of employees of Reuters, in an event organized halal bi halal by Reuters on Thursday (6/9), at Home TV Kompas, Jakarta. Kompas Gramedia President Jacob Oetama, along with the leaders of a number of mass media are in the shade Reuters also attended the event.

In his speech, Mahfud began by explaining the relevance of Idul Fitri. According to him, the existence of the feast of Idul Fitri Islam meant that every person in the world this could be pure (holy) back. So with holiness, man can move better in itself, and does not go with all the inherent stain.

In this case, Mahfud strengthen the explanation by citing verses from the Quran that God creating man from clods of dirt, and ended up going back to the ground. Then, in verse beikutnya, he said, after the soil is formed body, God breathed the spirit of the land. "When God breathed the spirit of the land, it becomes this man, then all human life except subject to the devil," said Mahfud MD.

Furthermore, Mahfud said again, in a human body there are 2 (two) elements, namely land and spirit. Earth element symbolizes passion, which always invites every man to do something ugly. If you are a human family, it is definitely going to do something bad. If you are never do anything bad, then you are not human, but an angel.

Instead, the element symbolizes the spirit of kindness. Every person no matter how bad must have good properties or want to do well, because there are elements of soul derived from God Almighty. "If you do not want to do bad means not human but an angel, but if you do not want to do either absolute evil. So there are elements of human well-doing, there is an element do bad, "explained Professor Islamic University of Indonesia.

Here a question arises, to what Idul Fitri. According to Mahfud, Idul Fitri is sacred again. "Actually we are good people, with the Idul Fitri we return to the good," he explained.

Discrimination Breaks Fitrah

Besides explaining relating to human origins, Mahfud also explained more broadly, the relationship of human nature with the nature of a nation or state. According to him, the nature of any nature will affect a nation. For, nature is the origin of events that make up the human. Then, the state must also have come about the ideological nature back, back to a constitutional right. "That's the nature of the country," said Chairman of the Constitutional Court.

Therefore, said Mahfud, a state for human nature. Every life in this world cannot live without the state. So the man must be responsible for the continuity of the nation. "We feel responsible for the safety of the state, because of our own nature need to state," he explained.

More importantly, said Mahfud, Indonesian people actually living in the country are aware and fully conscious of living with difference and diversity. "And that is the nature of the Indonesian nation," he said. "So it is impossible to force it to be the same person. If we are forced to be the same, destroyed nature, and also destroyed the country," he added.

Therefore, Mahfud went on to say there should be no discrimination on the behavior of a group, ethnic, or religious group. Therefore, it thus breaks nature, both human nature and the state, and to discriminate against religious groups. (Shohibul Umam / mh/Yazid.tr)
