Delegation from Afghanistan visited the Constitutional Court (MK), Thursday (23/2). The delegation consisted of the judges of the Independent Commission of Oversight and Implementation of Constitution (ICOIC) and Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Ghulam Sakhi Ghairat. ICOIC the Court should institute in Afghanistan. Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Moh. Mahfud MD was accompanied by seven other woods constitutional judges in particular welcomed the arrival of the troupe.

Chairman ICOIC, Gul Rahman Qazi Gulrahman Gaz through the interpreter explained that their visit this time to "learn" about the Constitutional Court in Indonesia. He stated that the Constitutional Oversight Committee ICOIC or Afghanistan has two roles. The first role was to solve the problem of human rights in Afghanistan and control the constitution of Afghanistan.

Furthermore, Gul Rahman revealed that ICOIC has seven members. The seven members appointed by the president’s ICOIC and ratified by the parliament in Afghanistan.

Mahfud then describes the composition of the Constitutional Court judges. Nine constitutional justices nominated by three different state agencies, the three people nominated by the president, three of the proposed MA, and the remaining three elected by the Parliament or the Parliament.

Mahfud continued his explanation by saying that the Indonesian Constitutional Court has the authority and the obligation of four. "First, to test the constitutionality of laws against the 1945 Constitution, rule on the dispute between the authority of state institutions whose authorities are granted the 1945 Constitution, to decide disputed elections, and to decide upon the dissolution of political parties," said Mahfud.

While the Court held an obligation, which shall give a decision on the opinion of the House stating the president and vice president of conduct violations.

Although the Constitutional Court in Indonesia was nine years old in August, Mahfud Indonesia revealed that MK has a high productivity in handling cases and decided the case. For judicial review, approximately 450 cases in the process and some have been cut in the Constitutional Court of Indonesia. While the case since the 2009 elections approximately 742 cases from local to central level handled by the Constitutional Court of Indonesia.

Harjono Constitutional Court continued, the decisions of the Constitutional Court were final and binding. That is, if a case was decided in the Constitutional Court verdict can not be compared and a decision is also binding on all citizens of Indonesia.

Slightly different from the Constitutional Court of Indonesia, ICOIC give its decision as a recommendation to the president. ICOIC "spawn" verdict in the form of comments and commentary.

After the meeting, the delegation of Afghanistan was around the Court House to see the streets in the Constitutional Court hearing.
