Mahfud MD Visited Museum of Soekarno

Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Mahfud MD visited the Sukarno museum which is housed in the Tampak Siring Palace in Gianyar, Bali Denpasar on 18 January. During his visit, he took time to share information about Bung Karno. When talking about Pancasila, according to Mahfud, it cannot escape from the figure of Bung Karno.

Soekarno Museum initiated by Sukmawati Sukarnoputri was established under the auspices of The Sukarno Center which was inaugurated on November 10, 2011 and then, and Rector of the University of Mahendradatta Dr. Shri I Gusti Ngurah Arya Wedakrna Mahendradatta Suyasa III was appointed President of The Sukarno Center. Memorabilia were here, mostly owned by large families and friends Sukarno Sukarno.

During his visit, Mahfud MD said that this museum as one form of how our history as a nation and appreciate the services of the heroes. "Bung Karno revealed, a great nation is a nation that respects the services of a hero. Supposing there was no Bung Karno, not necessarily able to live comfortable like this," he said.

It was also expressed that Bung Karno was one that can liberate this nation from the shackles of the hands of the invaders who imprisoned and made slaves in their own country. The name of Bung Karno had lately dimmed. But in terms, Gold is still gold. Bung Karno was still be able to show as an exemplary figure of the leader. 

At the end of his speech, Mahfud MD invited to the museum should be like this campaign is that in other areas could have museums like this. "In the future many things that need to be done together to collect history he left. Indonesia however this can never be separated from the idea of Bung Karno, as Pancasila which can always re-unite and defend the nation, "said Mahfud.
