Mother’s Day is a reminder of the values of the struggle of Indonesian women who long for the unity and integrity of Indonesia, the Indonesian nation, the independence of Indonesia, the Indonesian maternal love and the willingness to sacrifice for the struggle to build Indonesia. This was conveyed by General Secretary of the Constitutional Court (MK) Janedjri M. Gaffar as coach at Commemoration Ceremony Mother’s Day, Thursday (22/12) morning at the Constitutional Court (MK)
"Warning Mother’s Day 2011 focuses on the economic aspects, so that the Indonesian women from different cultural backgrounds, religions and social status can do introspection and struggle back to the efforts that have been made of women in the economic field in order to improve the quality of life for women and children, family , society and nation of Indonesia, "said Janedjri who read a speech.
It is said Janedjri, women’s participation in the economic field in which gender equality is also part of the struggle of Indonesian women’s movement should be our concern in this era of globalization and the growing pressure of competition, especially for developing countries like Indonesia.
Janedjri continued, with the spirit of the values of women’s struggles Indonesia and attention on the economic aspects to strengthen national defense, held Memorial Day Mother-to-83 in 2011 with the theme "Role of Women and Men in Building Resilience Towards Economic Prosperity of the Nation".
"It is recognized by all of us, the struggle to achieve women’s advancement and promotion of Indonesia has not been entirely successful if we still see women in Indonesia is only as objects of development, not as subjects of development," explained Janedjri.
In addition, continued Janedjri, Indonesian women should be seen as a potential development assets, so it should move so that the potential self-driven women to fill future independence and build a better Indonesia.
"Furthermore, we also need to look at the Indonesian women as mothers of children through its primary role will be able to build the character of the nation, national identity and character of the nation, so that the Indonesian people to be a respected nation, have identity, equal with other nations to participate carve human civilization and the world, "said Janedjri.
Therefore, that all parties have a role in the partnership of women and men in building resilience to the economic welfare of the nation’s households, as well as promote the establishment of justice and equality between women and men in family life, society, nation and state.
"In addition, increasing the participation of government agencies and non-governmental organizations in improving the economic productivity of women, including domestic industry to tackle poverty," added Janedjri in the presence of officials and employees of the Constitutional Court.
