On that occasion, Muhidin explain the long journey since the 1945 Constitution was formed, the dynamics occur in 1949 and 1950, had an amendment in 1999-2002, until the birth of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MKRI) on August 13, 2003.
As time went on, the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) changes into the Union in 1949. Laws became the Constitution of the RIS. Subsequently, in 1950 Indonesia country was back to form a unitary state, with the Provisional Constitution of 1950.
Since the enactment of Provisional Constitution of 1950, in 1955 it was to form a constituent country of Indonesia. Finally a Presidential Decree was issued on July 5, 1959 and declared the state of Indonesia back to the 1945 Constitution. The period 1959-1965 is the period of the old order. Then began the era of 1965-1997 is a new order. "Until the Reformation finally happened in 1998 and in 1999-2002 made amendments to the Constitution," said Muhidin.
In addition to explaining the 1945 journey from the beginning until now, Muhidin also said about the powers and duties of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia. Authority of the Constitutional Court was to test the law against the Constitution, rule on the dispute the authority of state institutions whose authorities are granted by the Constitution, to decide the dissolution of political parties and to decide upon disputes on general election results.
"In addition there are the hallmark of the Court, namely the obligation of the Constitutional Court issued a decision on the opinion of the House regarding the alleged violations by the President and / or the Vice President by the Constitution," said Muhidin.
