Andi Muhammad Asrun, Dorel Amir, and Merlina, Petitioners of reviewing Act on Police withdraw the application. Dorel declared by Amir, Thursday (3 / 11) afternoon, at the Plenary Court courtroom. At the trial Andi M. Asrun not presents. The case is registered with the case number 62/PUU-IX/2011.

According to Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Moh. Mahfud MD, the revocation request is the right of petition. So, will the Court will grant the petition by issuing a formal letter to be read out at the next trial. "The parties will be called back," he said.

Previously, the Petitioner Act No. revealed. 2 of 2002 on the Police of the Republic of Indonesia which contains a provision that the police were under the President considered contrary to the 1945, because in 1945 there was no legal basis or rules governing that police were under the president.

Article 11 Paragraph 1 of Act 2 / 2002 states’ police chief was appointed and dismissed by the President with the approval of Parliament ". Article 8 Paragraph 1 of Act No. 2 /2002 states the Police are under the President. The provision is contrary to the 1945 Constitution, Petitioner said, because none of the articles in the1945 Constitution which provides the legal basis that the police are under the President directly.
