"Justice was not religious, that justice belongs to all religions, and democracy is compatible with the teachings of any religion. No one of any religion in this world reject democracy ". This was stated by Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Moh. Mahfud MD in the event the Guild Leaders of the Church (RPM) of Grace Church of Indonesia (Gekari) at the Hotel Harmoni Batam Centre One, on Wednesday (21 / 9).
In his oration, Mahfud MD said the man was aligned with human, human being with another human being that has the freedom and have the same rights. That means democracy.
This is what makes the religious leaders, including church fellowships that can tie an important role in a way of convergence between religious activity and democracy. Activities outside the ritual of social and political issues, where church and religious leaders direct democracy grow well. Not against people, but to fix together the nation state and this country. "The Constitution says justice must be upheld, that justice belongs to all religions, and thus we must fight together, so that we meet as a nation that can unite this country because we belong together", said Mahfud MD participants before the event.
According to Reinhard Hutabarat who is also Chairman of Executive Committee RPM Synod Gekari Batam, which was attended by Chairman Activities RPM Gekari Synod Rev. Daniel Henubaw and a number of speakers from home and abroad is an annual event held by the Synod Gekari RPM.
