State Audit Board Librarians Visit Court

Head of Research and Assessment Center of Court, Noor Sidhartha was receiving the visit of State Audit Board (BPK) Librarians from various areas related to management of the Court Library, Thursday (7/7).


Forty State Audit Board (BPK) librarians from various regions visited the Constitutional Court to find out various things related to the management of the Library Court. The visit was received directly by the Head of the Center for Research and Assessment of the Court, Noor Sidhartha, Thursday (7/7).

On the occasion, Noor Sidhartha explained that the Library is on the 5th and 6th floor. Moreover, he argues, on the 16th floor meeting room precisely at Consultative Room for Judges (RPH), it exist also the library. "In the space of nine judges to decide constitutional matters, the room is sterile. We place a small library, and his books is always changing depending on the cases discussed, "he explained.

According to Noor Shidarta, MK libraries have a vital role in supporting these institutions carry out its authority, for example, the authority of the Constitutional Court to review the Act. "The constitutional judges will usually request a variety of books to the librarian associated with a case which held, so that the library functions and supporting system into a vital key in the implementation of the functions and authority of the Constitutional Court," he explained.

Furthermore, the review was concerning many cases. There is agriculture, marine and fisheries, and so on. This is because all the constitutional rights of people who feel aggrieved by any Act may apply to the Court.

The Court also has other power, the rule on the dispute the authority of state institutions to be given by the Constitution, the dissolution of political parties, and decide disputes about the election results. "In addition, the Court also required to provide decision on the Parliament’s opinion about alleged the President and / or Vice President break the Constitution," he explained.

Meanwhile, Gunarwanto, Head of Publications and Information Services of Foreign Relations Bureau of BPK explained that his institution has also made the development of libraries, especially in BPK representatives in various regions."At our institution the Library became the Law Department and Public Relations. We hope this library can be an important part of contributing to the basic tasks and functions of BPK, "he hoped.
