Chairman of Constitutional Court (MK) Moh. Mahfud MD interviewed by reporters related to the revision of Law No. 24/2003 regarding the Constitutional Court (MK) by the House of Representatives (DPR), Thursday (16/6) in Chairman’s room.

Chairman of Constitutional Court (MK) Moh. Mahfud MD met reporters in his office. He said the Court respect whatever Parliament and government decision to discuss the revision of Law No. 24/2003 regarding the Constitutional Court (MK).  Mahfud also talked about the fake letter of the Court.
 
"First, I can say i am happy, but it could also a bit disappoint with the formation of this Committee. I am happy because the handling of inaction case taken positively by the House. It is slow in the police, so that parliament form a Committee to ensure this, so its path back to the path of political views, the findings is also political, "said Mahfud comments the fake letter.
 
Furthermore, Mahfud said he was happy because the Working Committee will reveal 'illegitimate chair" clearly. However, Mahfud disappointed it because the formation is caused by the slow process of criminal law.
 
Mahfud also said the Committee which will reveal the Constitutional Court issues of a fake letter can be a Pandora box. Because the Committee will be open to other cases, not just about the fake letters of Court. "It could go to other problems; it could spread to other out of law problems, but political problems. Well, that's a risk of a Working Committee, "said Mahfud.
 
Concerning the risks of a fake letter, Mahfud think it could be a threat to political stability in the future. Questions about the validity of the election results, the validity of DPR and DPRD members can also appear as a form of "Pandora's box" as Mahfud said.
 
Mahfud also said the House Committee is on call to deliver his statement. In fact, Mahfud is ready to become the first person who asked for information related to MK fake letter.
 
Court Bill
Constitutional Court Law will be revised by the House; Mahfud said constitutional judges respect the choice of the House. Whatever the contents of the new Law on the Constitutional Court will not be interfered.
 
"From the beginning we were formally invited to discuss it, we reject. Because we should not talk about the bill, we speak the Act. Therefore, until now I have to follow public opinion that there were efforts to stunt MK, but we did not feel that way. Go ahead, anything suitable by the House, please. We must not cut the process. Leave it alone, it will have further processes, "said Mahfud commenting the revised plan.

If found the article unconstitutional, Mahfud said the Court could consider the unconstitutional removal of the article and it applies to all laws, not only the Constitutional Court Law alone. "But remember, the Court works on the basis of morality, it will not accidentally cancel just because of maintaining prestige.
