In order to defend the campus from the verdict execution by the West Jakarta District Court against Trisakti Foundation, Trisakti University representatives doing an audience to the Constitutional Court on Tuesday (14/6). "We are worried by the plan of execution, although we abort in the first execution on Thursday (19/5). We ask that the Court can help Trisakti to become special public universities. Because Trisakti University formerly owned by the Government basically and it has been duly returned to the Government, "said Dean of the Faculty of Law of Trisakti University Endar Pulungan.
First of all, Trisakti University named University of Res Publica and then changed its name on November 19, 1965. A year later, then it founded the Trisakti Foundation. "It means Trisakti University is not established by the foundation, but is by the state. There is no link between the University and Trisakti Foundation. Nearly 46 years exist, Trisakti University has never asked for funds from the Foundation since the university could fund the education by itself," he explained.
The Supreme Court issued a decision, which legitimizes Trisakti Foundation a body builder and manager of the organizers of the Trisakti University by the Minister of Education and Culture No. 281/U/1979 dated December 31, 1979 which have been declared disabled by the Decree of the minister of law No. 30 94/MPN/LK June 2008.
Then, it amplified with SK minister to management of Trisakti University No 120/B/II dated March 17, 2010 which states that the decree of the minister Daoed Joesoef on 1979 was invalid because it was outdated.
