Head of Case Administration Division of the Constitutional Court, Muhidin receiving a comparative study visit from the Service Excellence Team of Complaint File of National Commission on Human Rights, Thursday (7/4) at 11th floor of the Constitutional Court Building.
Jakarta, MKOnline- National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) made a comparative study visit to the Constitutional Court (The Court), Thursday (7/4). The visit from Service Excellence Team of Complaint File of Komnas HAM was welcomed by Head of Case Administration Division Muhidin.
The Service Excellence Team of Komnas HAM who came to The Court constituted of six people; Didung (Complaint Receiving Division), Dewi Retna (Complaint Receiving Division), Iwan (Complaint Archiving Division), Arif Setiawan (Head of Service Excellence Team), Linda (Archive and Complaints Division) and Rani (Archive and Complaints Division). All the participants in that visit got an explanation on the judicial administration at The Court from Muhidin.
Muhidin accompanied by IT staff of The Court then explained about the scheme of judicial administration in The Court. Firstly, Muhidin explained that the complaint system in The Court was different with the one in Komnas HAM. In The Court, complaints on judicial cases which suited the function and authority of The Court was called a petition.
The Court had a Registrar Office whose duties and functions were to support the management of judicial administration. The supporting duties were for example receiving cases, verifying the completeness of the petition, distributing case files until the decision of the case.
Modern
Muhidin also explained that to support the judicial administration service to the people, over the years The Court kept improving themselves by implementing modern facilities.
One of the modern facilities mentioned above is e-Perisalah or e-Proceeding. By using e-Proceeding, people could get the proceeding of a court session faster. “So the editor for the proceeding just needs to edit because by using this device, the voices in the court session is directly transformed into words with 80 percent accuracy. Because there are many dialects in Indonesia, this device still needs improvement,” informed Muhidin.
A completed Proceeding could be accessed by the people through The Court’s official site at www.mahkamahkonstitusi.go.id. People could read by themselves on what happened during the session. The same thing was also applied to the decision of The Court. A Court’s decision could be accessed directly at the same site not long after it was read.
Another facility used to support The Court’s sessions was video conference facilities. For a witness who could not come to The Court, the person could just come to a law faculty of a University nearby. “A witness in Papua, for example, because it is a very long way to Jakarta, the person could just come to Cenderawasih University,” explained Muhidin.
Lastly, Muhidin explained about online case registration. Online registration could also be done at The Court. Visitors or people who would like to register a case but could not comet to Jakarta, might submit the case at The Court’s website.
“From time to time, the bottomline is that we always try to provide optimum service even though there are adjustments to be made. Since the beginning, The Court wish to realize a modern and trustworthy court like the motto of The Court,” ended Muhidin (Yusti Nurul Agustin/mh/YDJ)
