Jakarta, MKOnline - The Constitutional Court (The Court) held a session for the announcement of the review of Article 1 paragraph (8) of Act No. 21 of 2000 about Workers Union/Labors Union, Friday (11/3). The Court at this session announced that they granted the request of withdrawal from the Petitioners.
On the request from the Petitioners registered with number 13/PUU-IX/2011, The Court announced that the petition was withdrawn. By that, the Petitioners as stated by The Court, could not re-apply for another review of Article 1 number 8 of Act No. 21 of 2000 about Workers Union/Labors Union (State Gazette Year 2000 No. 131, Additional to State Gazette No. 3989) against the 1945 Constitution,
Previously, as read by the Deputy Chief Justice of The Court, Achmad Sodiki, The Registrar Office of The Court on March 8, 2011 had received a letter from the Petitioners dated March 1, 2011. The letter was submitted by the Petitioners to state their withdrawal of the case for the review of Article 1 number 8 of Act No. 21 of 2000 about Workers Union/Labors Union.
Still as read by Sodiki, on the withdrawal of the case, the Justice Plenary Meeting on Thursday, March 10, 2011 had announced the case withdrawal as reasonable and was not against the law. Therefore, it could be granted (Yusti Nurul Agustin/mh/YDJ)
