Jakarta, MKOnline - ”The National Final of the Constitutional Awards for Civics Teachers of 2010” was held by the Constitutional Court in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, November 21-22, 2010 at Hotel Sultan Jakarta. The winners of the Constitutional Awards for Civics Teachers are scheduled to be announced and broadcasted by TVOne.
On the first day, Sunday (21/11) afternoon, the Grand Jury chaired by constitutional law expert, Prof. Saldi Isra, conducted a technical meeting before 30 Civics teachers from various regions, from the Elementary School, Junior High School and Senior High School levels as the participants of the 2010 National Final of the Constitutional Awards. On the occasion, Saldi explained various matters related to the organization of the event, ”The National Final of the Constitutional Awards for Civics Teachers of 2010”.
Saldi explained that the Grand Jury came from 3 components. The first component was appointed by the Constitutional Court and the second component was appointed by the Ministry of National Education, whereas the third component was appointed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. They are Prof. Saldi Isra from Unand Padang, Dr. Zainal Arifin Mochtar lecturer from FH UGM Yogyakarta, Dr. Winarno Yudo lecturer from FH UI, Dr. Kurnia Warman from FH Unand Padang, Dr. M. Jafar, Msi from the Ministry of National Education, Dr. Unifah Rosidi from UNJ, Drs. Unang Rahmat, ME from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. Nikmatul Huda from UII Yogyakarta, Dr. I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rahmi Handayani from Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, Drs. Kiduk Supriadi, MPd from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. Iwan Satriawan from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
After the technical meeting, on the evening (21/11) the written exam to select who among the Civics teachers will deserve to receive the 2010 National Constitutional Awards. The written exam was followed by the participants as Civics teachers, with the purpose of identifying the extent of constitutional knowledge of each participant.
”The result of the written exam will constitute 30% of the overall score. Whereas the remaining 70% will be judged from the presentation of the participants,” said Saldi Isra.
On the second day, Tuesday (22/11) presentations were made by the participants. In the presentation, there are matters which are included in the evaluation criteria of the juries, among other things are the aspects of material comprehension and articulation of idea, presentation, application of proper and correct Indonesian language, etc.
Subsequently, the participants’ presentations were judged by five juries, accumulated and then divided by five. ”And then, the total score which had been divided by five will constitute 70% of the score to determine which participants will receive the National Constitutional Awards for Civics Teachers of 2010,” said Saldi Isra, who also informed that the announcement of the winners of ” The National Final of the Constitutional Awards for Civics Teachers of 2010” will be broadcasted from TVOne studio, scheduled on Thursday (25/11).(Nano Tresna A./mh)
