Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Moh Mahfud MD received Pancasila Leader Award from senior journalist Freddy Ndolu, author of the book Most Wanted Leaders, presented in Subasuka Paradise, Kupang, on Tuesday (26/10).
Jakarta, MK Online – Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (The Court) Moh Mahfud MD received the Pancasila (the five principles) Leader Award presented in Subasuka Paradise, Kupang, (26/10) The award was presented by senior journalist Freddy Ndolu, author of the book Most Wanted Leaders. In addition to Mahfud, six other figures receiving this award were Akbar Tanjung, Hendry Saparini, Seto Mulyadi, Agustin Teras Narang, Komaruddin Watubun, as well as Hasyim Djoyo Hadi Kusumo.
In his statement when receiving the award, Mahfud MD actually felt it hard to receive this award because actually, he agreed more to be referred to only as Pancasila follower. However, according to Mahfud, he had some issues as his reasons to receive this award. “Our country is now being faced with problems, such as the problem of democracy“ stated Mahfud.
Mahfud added with how we would have true Pancasila Leaders who can guarantee security and safe life as the children of the nation. In a Pancasila State which had to guarantee unity and integrity of this nation, leaders had the task to make a commitment namely to guarantee welfare and prosperity for the people. Then for such purposes, the state had to guarantee fair law enforcement. According to Mahfud, if law and justice were not properly enforced, automatically there would be disunity and disobedience among the people.
To conclude, Mahfud MD invited all to be proud of the Pancasila symbol whose noble values now began to be forgotten, that they can guaranty firm and fair leadership for creating a sovereign, fair and prosperous country.
This award was given by Indonesia Satu Community to chosen figures considered to be really able to bring change in the middle of the currently bad condition of the nation. (ddy/mh)
