BPPT engineer, Oskar Riandi gave a presentation on i-Perisalah when conducting a test on this latest system, Tuesday (2/9), at the Library Room of the Constitutional Court. BBPT selected the Constitutional Court as the venue to test i-Perisalah as the Constitutional Court is known to produce the best transcript in Indonesia.

Jakarta, MK Online – The Constitutional Court established cooperation with the Agency for the Assessment and Application Technology (BPPT) to conduct a test on the latest proceedings creator system invented by BPPT, i-Perisalah. As conveyed by BPPT Engineer, Oskar Riandi during his presentation on i-Perisalah, Tuesday (2/9), at the Library Room of the Constitutional Court, this test was conducted during a hearing held at the Constitutional Court since last August 2, 2010.

Oskar described i-Perisalah as a system which provides a solution for proceedings maker as it uses speech recognition technology which automatically transcribes all remarks made both at the hearing and meeting. Furthermore, Oskar also stated the reason why BBPT chooses the Constitutional Court as the venue to test i-Perisalah. “We choose the Constitutional Court as a venue to test this new proceedings system because the Constitutional Court is currently known for producing the best transcript in Indonesia. We also would like to compare the advantages of method adopted by the Constitutional Court with i-Perisalah,” he said.

Furthermore, Oskar admitted that there are many new terminologies identified during the hearing at the Constitutional Court which have not been applied into the system. Oskar gave an example that after one month of trial, i-Perisalah identified 60 thousands new terminologies which have not been detected by the system. “We have actually applied around 200 hundred terminologies in Indonesian language. It takes two weeks to one month for the i-Perisalah system to adapt to these new terminologies,” he explained.

According to Oskar, i-Perisalah is able to improve time and human resources efficiency in the preparation of hearing proceedings, particularly at the Constitutional Court. In addition to that, i-Perisalah is also capable of making a summary or resume of the existing hearings. “Furthermore, i-Perisalah is able to record any conversation happened during a hearing in sequence according to the time and speakers as well as to facilitate the administration of file management, data security and information at the hearings,” he said.

Subsequently, the Accounting Manager of INTI, Dzitu Sofwan said that to actualize further use of i-Perisalah at the Constitutional Court hearings, BPPT and INTI is intending to enter into a memorandum of understanding or MoU in this September. (Lulu Anjarsari/Koen)
