SUBULUSSALAM ELECTION. WITNESS UNFOLD VIOLATION

The Constitutional Court held the next trial on dispute over the result of election in Subulussalam City, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD), with the agenda of hearing to the Petitionee s exception also the information from witnesses presented by the Petitioner, H. Asmauddin and Drs. Salmaza pair, Tuesday (6/1), in the Constitutional Court Room.

In the trial, the Petitioner brought forth 13 witnesses as well as written evidences to support their findings on violation occured during the election process. Fitriani, one of the witnesses, admitted that she received an invitation from Merah Sakti-Affan Afian pair (Elected Candidate Pair in The Commission s version) to cast another vote, “with 30 thousand rupiah as the compensation money,” she said.

Apart from Fitriani, the other twelve witnesses also gave testimonials on several other misconducts ranging from the finding on underage voters until the unlocked ballots. In the following trial, the Petitioner planned to present several other witnesses.

After hearing to the witnesses information and legalizing written evidences, the Justice Panel Board decided to suspend the trial and continue on Wednesday (7/1) with the same agenda, that is to hear infromation from both Petitioner s witnesses and the Petitionee s. (Nina Afrianti)
