The Constitutional Court reached Second Winner in Category of Printed Annual Report in Public Relation Media Award 2008, Thursday (28/8), in Batam. The award giveaway was part of the annual national gathering on Government s Public Relation Coordination Board (Bakohumas)2008.

Meanwhile, Minister of Communication and Informatics, Mohammad Nuh, in his printed remarks quoting President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) speech on the Bakohumas gathering 2007 stating, “We want to increase the function of Public Relation to build positive image inside and outside our country, whether it is the image of Indonesian People entirely or the image of the Indonesian Government.”

Besides that, M. Nuh also quoted the speech of Vice-President Jusuf Kalla in the Bakohumas Gathering 2006,”The Function and role of Public Relation practitioners at the moment needs to be repositioned and reoriented from merely the speaker of the government, clipping maker and press announcement on outdated events into doing more strategic tasks and functions according to the situational demand which have experienced the efforts of professionalism improvement and PR practitioners’ credibility.”

For that, at the end of his written remark, M. Nuh demanded the officers in Government’s Public Relation to reposition them. Related to the change in the State paradigm, M. Nuh saw the paradigm in Public Relation had to adjust and settle them by using methods and approaches that can build new commitment, building teamwork, and eliminating sectored ego.
