CRUISE ACT: PT PELINDO STAFF WOULD FILE JUDICIAL REVIEW

JAKARTA (Suara Karya): 8.000 staffs of Indonesian Harbor Co. (PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo)) I, II, III dan IV would file judicial review on Cruise Act to the Constitutional Court. They considered the Act to violate the 1945 Constitution also causing loss to constitutional rights of 8000 PT Pelindo employees.
"We are in the middle of preparing the administrative requirement in our internal level to be submitted to the Constitutional Court”, Public Relation Officer of PT Pelindo Tanjung Priok, Hambar Wiyadi, in Jakarta, this weekend.
He explained, in the preparing process, his side had asked for legal aid to their lawyer.
"After we considered it has fulfilled all administration requirement, the employees will file the judicial review to the Constitutional court. In a short time, we will file it as soon as possible," He said.
Beside preparing the administrative requirement, the lawyer of PT Pelindo would learn articles of the Act which were considered to violate 1945 Constitution. Nowadays, the Cruise Act had been wide-spread to the entire employees  of PT Pelindo in Tanjung Priok Harbour to make same perception.  
"We consider the Act to violate Article 33 1945 Constitution. Details of the articles will reviewed by the lawyer,” Hambar added.
Although the effort to reject the Act was failed, the employees kept on working normally. No more rejection attributes, such as t-shirts and bandanas worn while they worked.
"The service run normally. The ship consignment keep on running as well as it should,” Hambar explained.
Responding the strong willingness of the employees to file judicial review on the Cruise Act, the Government through the Transportation Minister Jusman Syafii Djamal disagreed on it. Because, the discussion about the Act had spent a long time and respond a quite aspiration from the Lawmakers.
"The Act had been discussed for more than 9 months. We also have 500 drafts on problem inventory. It is all a part of public aspiration which responded by the Lawmakers. So, I think, we do not need the judicial review,” Jusman Syafii Djamal said.
Directorate General of Sea Transportation Effendi Batubara stated, the judicial review on the Cruise Act was not emergence to be carried out, because it had been legalized. However, if the employees kept on filing it, his side allowed it because it was their right. "The Act has been legalized. Then, it is about to implement it," Effendi mentioned.
Some Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle  Fraction (Fraksi Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (FPDIP)) did interruption in the assembly meeting of legalization on the Cruise Bill. They also considered that some articles of the Act to violate Indonesian economic sovereignty(Wilmar P)
