JAKARTA (SINDO) ââ¬â An expert in constitution law from Andalas University, Padang, Sadli Isra revealed that women should get the same opportunity to be constitution justices at the Constitutional Court (MK). By then, every verdict that the Constitutional Court made would have gender perspective. ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢Women should be given the opportunity so that in the future every legal policy of the state issued by the Constitutional Court had their gender perspective.
At least there was a portion and opportunity for female statesperson who were able to guard the constitution,ââ¬Â said Sadli to SINDO last night. Before, the President Consideration Board (Wantimpres) had prepared a female justice to fill in the justice position at the Constitutional Court from the President line. At which the President had three positions to determine the justices at the Constitutional Court. Not like the previous year, this time of the three candidates submitted by the President, one was a female justice.
The same thing was said by a law expert from the Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Denny Indrayana. He said that the desire to involve women to be part of the policy makers needed to be appreciated. Because, so far the policy concerning the stateââ¬â¢s constitution were held by men. ââ¬â¢It is high time for us to provide chances for women with integrity and ability,ââ¬Â he revealed.(purwadi)
