The historical momentum was created during the inauguration of the new building of the Constitutional Court which was held on Monday, August 13, 2007. All heads of state high institutions were present to witness the commencement of the activities of the Constitutional Court Justices and staff of the Secretariat General and the Registry Office of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia performing the constitutional duty as the guardian of the 1945 Constitution.

Such heads of state institutions were among others, from left to right, Chairman of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Anwar Nasution, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA) Bagir Manan, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Jimly Asshiddiqie as the host, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia M. Jusuf Kalla, Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Hidayat Nur Wahid, Chairman of the People's Legislative Assembly (DPR) Agung Laksono, and the Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD), Ginandjar Kartasasmita.
