Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Mahfud MD was accompanied by General Secretary Janedjri M. Gaffar received a courtesy call from German Constitutional Court Judge represented by Rudolf Mellinghoff on Tuesday (12 / 7) afternoon on the 30th floor of Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta.

Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Mahfud MD was accompanied by General Secretary MK Janedjri M. Gaffar received a courtesy call from German Constitutional Court represented by Rudolf Mellinghoff, on the 30th floor of Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta, Tuesday (12 / 7) afternoon.

"Being an honor for us to welcome you in this International Symposium," Mahfud MD said while receiving Rudolf Mellinghoff.

Venturing into the meeting, Rudolf gave the book the last date on legal developments in Germany, including about democracy and the constitution. On that occasion, Rudolf said that he wanted to convey the views and thoughts to compare between MKRI with German Constitutional Court.

Rudolf also explained the Court of the Federal Republic of Germany stated in the Constitution of Germany is a court. It was a significant position and placement of the Federal Court dealing with the other courts in Germany and other constitutional organs, making the Federal Constitutional Court is increasingly important in the public eye, it was also among the Federal Supreme Court.

On that occasion Mahfud MD asked about the constitutional complaint in Germany. Rudolf explained in Germany itself no less than 5,000 cases each year constitutional complaint. While from the very commencement of the Court authority on German constitutional complaint in 1958 to 2004 there have been about 140,000 cases related to the constitutional complaint.

On the other hand, Rudolf praised the system of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia "It's very nice when I see the Constitutional Court in Indonesia became an independent institution," Rudolf said. This rose is justified by Mahfud and call it as profits earned since the beginning of MK Indonesia was formed.

"We are learning with many countries including Germany," Mahfud said. Rudolf also praised about Pancasila, the ideology that made the basis of law in Indonesia. According to Rudolf, it became the basis of the handle adapted to conditions of the nation itself. 

In addition to the German Constitutional Court delegation, Mahfud also received a delegation of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, represented by Judge Mykhailo Zaporozhets. On that occasion, Mykhailo said the constitutional developments in Ukraine as well as the authority of judges in there, including a term of constitutional justice in Ukraine which lasted for nine years.

After receiving a delegation of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Mahfud also received a delegation represented by the Turkish Constitutional Court Judge E. Yildirim. After that comes the delegation of the Constitutional Court represented by Judge Gulzorova Tajikistan Muhabbat, it continues with the arrival of Lithuanian delegation headed by Stasys Sedbaras as Chairman of the Legal Affairs Lithuania.
