Jury is doing the judging of the Constitutional Debate Competition of 2011 among Higher Education in National Level to decide on eight teams that qualified for the quarter-finals that will be held on Thursday (30/6).
Entering the stage round of Constitutional Debate Competition of Inter-College of 2011 on National Level, Wednesday (29/6) in Constitutional Court (MK) building, some participants appear so good and brilliant in the face of his opponents. But surprisingly, last year's champion, Hasanuddin University of Makassar should recognize the benefits of Diponegoro University (Undip) Semarang, so it does not qualify for the quarterfinals. Thus the results of the decision of the jury chaired by prof. Saldi Isra.
The meeting between Unhas and Undip running quite exciting and interesting. Both teams showed the ability and capacity. On one side of the team demonstrated its capacity of mastery of theory, science and constitutional law literature quite well, so this is quite troublesome opponent. Meanwhile, Undip convey the material through neat rhetoric and grammar.
While other teams have seen significant progress is Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta) of Serang, Banten when meeting with Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta. It seems quite balanced and full of enthusiasm. Both Untirta and UGM issued abilities and their respective arguments logically and clearly.
"Nevertheless, the results will come back on the assessment of the jury, because they have their own opinion of the participants debate of the constitution," Lia, one participant from Untirta said.
Furthermore, there is also a team from the University of Indonesia (UI), Depok, who met with the Pancasila University of Jakarta. In various aspects, the two teams that showed significant improvement, both from the mastery of debate and materials delivery.
As it is known, the assessment criteria of the Constitutional Debate Competition Jury among Higher Education of 2011 of National Level, including debates over matter relating to the 1945 Constitution and Regulations, an assessment of the ethics of the participants at the time of delivering the material debate, how to refute the arguments of opponents, as well as on the use of foreign terms, including theories related to the constitutional debate.
After going through assessment, observation, consideration of various aspects, as a result of the Constitutional Debate Competition Jury decide who qualified for the quarter-finals will be held on Thursday (30/6). Eight teams are Muhammadiyah University of Malang, Indonesia University, Diponegoro University, Airlangga University, Gadjah Mada University, North Sumatera University, Padjadjaran University, and Andalas University.
