Expert Staff of Chairman of Constitutional Court, Fajar Laksono Soeroso give a brief material to the group of Faculty of Sharia Gunungjati Bandung on their visit to Constitutional Court (MK), Monday (20/6).


Sharia Faculty of Islamic States University of Gunungjati Bandung visit the Constitutional Court (MK). They accepted by Chairman Staff of Constitutional Court, Fajar Laksono Soeroso on Monday (20/6).

In that brief meeting, Fajar delivered the material surrounding the Constitutional Court. Fajar said, the verdicts of the Constitutional Court cannot satisfy everyone. However, Fajar convince students that the verdict taken by the Court is a decision that could be an important breakthrough in the enforcement of law and democracy. "Although the Constitutional Court's verdict cannot always satisfy everyone, there are gainers and losers," says Fajar.

On the same occasion, Fajar describes the authority and duties of the Constitutional Court, which are judicial review against the Constitution, decide the dispute over state institutions, decide upon the dissolution of political parties, and decide disputes over Election results. "While the obligation of the Court is to give decision on the opinion of the House Representatives that the President or Vice President alleged to have committed treason, corruption or other criminal acts," explained Fajar.
