East Java Election dispute is waiting for its decision to be read out in the coming days. The parties involved were told to end their conflict and ended their fight to influence the mass media. All Constitutional Justices had their own standard values with justifiable reasons according to the Procedural Law.

“Just wait for the decision,” reminded the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Moh. Mahfud MD, in front of the press in the Press Gathering event held on Monday (30/11), in the Constitutional Court Press Conference Room. The event held during the lunch was also attended by Vice Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Abdul Mukthie Fadjar, and Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau, Zainal Arifin Hoesein.

In his information, Mahfud confirmed that he had observed the situation in East Java, especially in the northern coast of East Java or commonly known as the Horse shoe area, also in Madura Island. “Alhamdulillah (Thank Goodness) it was condusive in East Java. They were ready to accept what ever the Court decides. All the fuss is only in Jakarta and in the papers. Saiful (Karsa pair) supporters acussed one another with Khofifah (Kaji pair) supporters.” said the Professor of Law Politics.

To prepare for the decision of the Court on East Java election dispute, Mahfud demanded the press to prepare the psychological condition of East Java election dispute in accepting the decision by assuring them that the Court had been working extremely careful and making deep consideration, “so no matter what the decision will be, it has to be accepter according to the constitutional rule,” he explained.

Besides that, because many people knew that Mahfud was a friend of Syaifullah Yusuf or commonly known as Gus Ipul as well as Khofifah s friend, “then, in order to erase doubts from your (the press) mind. I have sent a text message myself to Ipul and Khofiffah. “The point is that I am asking them to be a good sport and ready to accepr whatever The decision of the Court would be,” emphasized Mahfud.

Related to the technical preparation for the decision, Abdul Mukhtie said that the decision would be readout on Tuesday (2/12) at 10.00 WIB, instead of at 16.00 WIB as previously scheduled in the earlier trial.

Before closing the event, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court again stated that The Court would not let any intervention from other parties that tried to influence the Constitutional Justices in making decision. “In case you hear or have ever heard a justice or whoever inside the court is or has been intervened, please let me know,” told Mahfud to the Press.

Full version of Mahfud s text message to Ipul and Khofifah:
Pak (Mister) Ipul and Mbak (Madame) Chofifah. I am sorry that ever since the East Java election began to enter the second round, I intentionally closed my handphone connection from Mbak Chofifah s and Pak Ipul s contacts. I did not mean to break the close relationships between us but it was meant to position myself in the right place within the case which had been predicted to be submitted to the Constitutional Court. I am still upholding the commitment I announced back when we were still in the PKB (a political party) that was upholding law and justice. I have been contacted by Mbak Chofifah s supporters and Pak Ipul s supporters, I listened to them, but I always answered by saying that I shall provide justice based on evidences and legal facts in the trials. Both of you are the promising future who were also the pride of the NU people, I believe you will support me to enforce law and justice without being influenced by our friendship, so that  you will be ready and not be disappointed by whatever the Constitutional Court decides. Our close relationship in fact was built because we agreed to fight for justice together especially in enforcing law and justice. Please, by relying on God Almighty, both of you be prepared to accept the enforcement of law and justice, and by relying on God Almighty I will read the justice-verdict. After the decision of the Court, the three of us are still friends and together still fight for truth, also the enforcement of law and justice. (Mahfud MD)
